Welcome to Daffodils and DandyLions. My husband, four children and I originally started out on a small farm in NE corner of Ohio and moved to Florida in the spring of 2004.

Currently I am working on perfecting my Orange and REW herd. From time to time while I work out the genetics we will be getting a few other colors, but for the most part we have Orange, REW, a few Tort and Ermine/Frosty.
Our first concern here is perfecting the orange color without losing body type and mane modifiers. This is not an easy task but well worth it!

All of the Lionheads on my site are PB DM unless noted otherwise. From time to time while I work on the orange foundations I will be pulling in hybrids due to specific color genetics. All hybrids will be bred back to Purebreds until they are of a purebred state, but in the meantime I thought you would like to see the steps in my process!

My daughter is building her own herd and come spring will re-build the Lake Hope name for her own. This was our farm name up north. Her focus is Blue, black and REW. So watch for her site in the near future.
